Musharraf football tournament begins in Drosh

CHITRAL, June 2: The Nojawan Society Drosh inaugurated the Musharraf Super Star Football Tournament 2012. Member Provincial Assembly Haji Ghulam Mohammad was chief guest on the occasion. Some 32 football teams from Chitral are participating in the tournament. Students from different schools presented national anthem with the beat of drums at the inaugural session. In his welcome address, Mohammad Usman, the president of the society, said the youth had great potential and talent and are also fond of football and different games but unfortunately they have no public stadium to enhance their potential. They are compelled to approach and request Chitral Scouts authorities to allow them to play at their football ground, Col Murad memorial stadium in Drosh. He demanded of the federal and provincial governments to release special fund for establishment of a public stadium for the youth of Drosh. Shahzada Khalid Parvez, the president of All Pakistan Muslim League, said the youth of Drosh were very fond of football and other games but they were facing great problems due to lack of opportunities. He also asked the authorities for construction of a stadium at Drosh. Chairman Fazal Rehman also hailed commitment and endeavours of the services of Drosh people.  The MPA assured that he would work to meet the demand of the people of Drosh.
