  1. Something doesn’t add up. Snipers are trained to take out single, high profile victims. Why would they send snipers into Chitral instead of suicide bombers who can kill more people at once? Why would CAA, an aviation organization issue the thread instead of intelligence authorities or law enforcement agencies. Also, why has the threat been issued right after the plane crash which is being speculated to have occurred due to the carelessness of CAA personnel. Perfect way to divert people’s attention in my opinion.

  2. Is it the civil aviation’s job to issue threat alert? Where are the security agencies? The big threat is the civil aviation itself with inefficiency and corruption high.

  3. CAA should focus on plane crash investigations. The people of chitral are demanding filing criminal cases against CAA and PIA management. Terror alert is not their job. It is job of concerned security department and agencies. The competent authorities should Immidiatly inform people and take measures to keep public safe. I agree with Basit Ali that CAA might be trying to divert public attention. This alert from CAA needs to investigated and if found wrong then charges should be made against CAA for spreading fear and havoc among general public.

  4. This is could be one of shameless excuses to first divert people’s attention from the recent plane crash and, second to stop/suspend flight operations to Chitral. PIA might be short of plane in working condition and therefore can suspend its flight operation to Chitral on the pretext of security threats. What a shame.
