Bannu, May 10, 2026: At least 15 police personnel were martyred after terrorists rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the Fateh Khel Police Checkpost in Bannu late at night on May 9, 2026.
According to police, three personnel were rescued alive from the rubble as search and rescue operations continued at the site.
Five Policemen Martyred In Karak
The martyrs were identified as Rahmat Ayaz, Sanaullah, Niaz Ali, Shoaib, Saadullah, Kamran (son of Mahmood Khan), Nematullah, Kamran, Abid Jani, Imran, Naimatullah, Siddiqullah, Mir Alam Khan, Rahatullah Khan, and Farooq Dad.
Senior police officials, including DPO Sajjad Khan, visited the District Headquarters Hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured and expressed solidarity with the affected families.

Speaking to the media, Khan said the morale of Bannu police remains high and vowed that militants would not succeed in their “evil designs.”
He added that the attack would prove to be the militants’ last such action, promising that security forces would track down those responsible and eliminate their network.
Search and clearance operations are still underway in the area.
