Islamabad, April 30, 2026: Former District Education Officer (DEO) and ex-Principal of Centennial Model High School Chitral Chitral Ali Akbar Khan passed away at Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad on April 28, 2026.
He leaves behind his wife, a sister, three daughters, son Dr Asad Ali, bothers retired teacher Zulfiqar Ali Khan, Supreme Court lawyer and Sindh Bar Council member Samsam Ali Raza, grandchildren and thousands.
Mr Ali Akbar remained the DEO of Chitral from 1993 to 1996 and worked as principal of higher secondary schools in Mardan and Nowshera till his retirement as the principal of Govt Centennial Model High School Chitral in 2004.
His Namaz-e-Janaza will be held at H-8 Ismaili Graveyard on April 30 at 10:00 AM. His body will be shifted to his ancestral village of Dizg in Upper Chitral for burial on April 30.
