Chitral, Jan 23, 2926: Lower Chitral Police on Friday said it has intensified targeted operations against individuals involved in drug trafficking.
As part of the ongoing crackdown, a police team conducted a foot patrol operation. During the patrol, police arrested a suspected drug dealer near Ghochar Koh while he was traveling on foot from Bumburet to Ayun. The arrested suspect was identified as Shakeel Ahmed, a resident of Damel and currently residing in Thoriandeh, Ayun.
Police recovered 40 liters of locally made liquor and 60 grams of crystal meth (ice) from his possession. A case has been registered against the suspect at the Ayun police station, and further investigation is underway.
