KPPSC has announced a new schedule to conduct the SST tests in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Many candidates from Upper and Lower Chitral have applied for the test. As the test has been scheduled during Ramazan, it has placed the candidates in a difficult situation because they must travel from Chitral to Peshawar, which takes more than nine hours, to appear in the test.
Female candidates will face even more difficulties, as the road conditions from Chitral to Peshawar are poor and the issue of accommodation in Peshawar further adds to the problem.
Ergo, it is requested that the concerned department arrange test centres in Chitral so that the time spent travelling to Peshawar can be utilised more effectively and both male and female candidates can appear in the test without mental and physical stress.
There should be a permanent KPPSC test centre in Chitral, as travelling to Peshawar to appear in a test creates serious difficulties for candidates from lower- and middle-class backgrounds, causing both financial and mental stress.
As a resident of Lower Chitral, I request the concerned authorities to kindly pay attention to this issue affecting the candidates of Upper and Lower Chitral.
