Chitral, Dec 25, 2025: District Police Officer (DPO) Lower Chitral Riffatullah Khan visited a church in Chitral city to review security arrangements on the occasion of Christmas.
During the visit, the DPO inspected the security situation and joined the Christmas celebrations. He participated in the ceremony, cut a cake, and extended heartfelt Christmas greetings to the Christian community.
Special prayers were also offered for the peace, security, development, and prosperity of Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, DPO Khan said that sharing in each other’s happiness promotes love and brotherhood in society. He added that Christmas conveys a message of peace and love, and acknowledged the significant role played by the Christian community in the country’s development. He further stated that foolproof security arrangements had been put in place at churches and Christian places of worship across the district to ensure peaceful celebrations.
Christian community leaders thanked the DPO for participating in the Christmas festivities and for ensuring effective security arrangements.
