CHITRAL, Dec 22, 2025: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Drosh Tehsil President Imranul Mulk has raised serious allegations regarding the use of funds allocated for flood-affected people.
In a video statement, Mulk said substantial amounts received for flood relief during the previous government’s tenure were not utilized in a transparent manner, and the affected communities are still awaiting clear explanations.
He said public clarification is essential to restore trust and ensure justice for flood victims.
He added that failure to ensure proper and fair utilization of relief funds after a natural disaster like floods is tantamount to injustice towards the affected families. He said the issue should not be viewed merely through a political lens, but rather in the broader context of public interest and accountability. He urged the concerned institutions to make complete details of the fund utilization public.
He stated that based on available information, he intends to raise the matter at relevant legal and administrative forums so that facts can come to light. If any irregularities are found at any level, he said, they must be identified and addressed accordingly.
Mulk clarified that his objective is transparency and accountability, not political point-scoring.
Following these developments, discussions regarding the use of flood relief funds have intensified among the public in Drosh Tehsil and surrounding areas. Various social representatives have also called for an independent audit of the funds allocated for flood victims.
