Drosh, Nov 5, 2025: A woman from Ashiret lost her life along with her one-year-old daughter while several other people were injured in a road accident in the Saidur area of Drosh at about 9am on Wednesday.
Rescue 1122 Lower Chitral said that a taxi car was coming to Drosh from Ashiret when it met with the accident at Saidur and fell into the riverbank. Eight people were on board the Ghogai car, including two women and a child, at the time of the accident.
Rescue teams reached the spot soon after the accident and shifted the injured to Drosh Hospital, where an emergency was declared.
Two of the injured were in critical condition and later referred to Peshawar, sources told ChitralToday.
The woman who died along with her minor daughter was later identified as wife of Noorul Islam, resident of Patodam. The mother of Noorul Islam was admitted to a hospital in Timargarah along with Siraj Ahmed of Bazgol. Driver Burhan of Baradam was shifted to the DHQ hospital Chitral.
