ISLAMABAD, Aug 12, 2025: Pernille Ironside has taken up her role as the new UNICEF Representative in Pakistan.
She reaffirmed UNICEF’s strong commitment to protecting and promoting children’s rights.UNICEF supports the government to speed up progress for children.
The agency also helps achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It works to ensure children’s rights under the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
After starting her role, Ironside presented her credentials to Special Secretary (UN) Ambassador Nabeel Munir at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She stressed UNICEF’s dedication to safeguarding children’s rights across Pakistan.
