CHITRAL: Lower Chitral police arrested a proclaimed offender wanted in a murder case in Peshawar during a targeted raid in Prayit Gol.
SDPO Chitral Circle Sajjad Hussain, SHO Kohguzi Sub-Inspector Imtiaz Ahmed, and their team apprehended Malik Ilyas Khan, son of Malik Aurangzeb, a resident of Mohallah Hidayatullah Shah, Peshawar.
Peshawar’s Hashtangri police had registered case No. 631 on Aug 3, 2025, against the suspect under sections 302 and 324 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Police captured him from his relative’s house while following all legal procedures. The raid formed part of the ongoing crackdown on criminals and proclaimed offenders across the district, which the Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed and Regional Police Officer Malakand Sher Akbar ordered, said a spokesman for the Chitral police.
