MASTUJ: Prominent political and social figure of Laspur valley of Upper Chitral Amir Ullah Khan Yaftali passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025. He was 81.
Amir Ullah Khan Yaftali was a respected leader and cultural advocate. As a former District Council member, he championed local rights and worked tirelessly to preserve Chitrali heritage. He also led Laspur’s polo team with pride and founded the Heritage Museum to safeguard local traditions.
He also worked to strengthen ties with Gilgit-Baltistan and ensure fair participation in regional events.
He will be remembered for his dedication, leadership and service to his community. May his soul rest in peace.
