CHITRAL: Rescue 1122 Lower Chitral recovered the dead body of a Suzuki pickup driver from Chitral River at Osiak near Drosh five days after he met with an accident and fell into the river in front of Ayun.
According to Rescue 1122’s media coordinator, Itibar Khan, son of Haji Khan, was transporting a cow in his vehicle towards Chitral town when his vehicle plunged into the river near Ayun reportedly due to brake failure.
The rescue team had been conducting a search operation at various points along the river since the incident.
Today, his body was found and retrieved from the river at Osiak and handed over to the family. The deceased was a resident of Gahiret in Lower Chitral.
