SONOGHUR: Construction of Shichan Gol bridge in Sonoghur has commenced, bringing relief to local residents who have long demanded a permanent and safe crossing over the stream.
The project is being carried out under the District Development Initiative (DDI), with funding provided through the efforts of Deputy Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Suriya Bibi. The initiative comes in response to persistent public demand in the remote area.
Local residents expressed appreciation for the timely launch of the project, noting that the absence of a proper bridge has long posed challenges, especially during periods of heavy rain and flooding.
Speaking to ChitralToday, community members thanked the deputy speaker for addressing a critical need and called for continued attention to other infrastructure gaps in the region.
