BOONI: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has officially launched an olive plantation campaign in Upper Chitral to promote olive cultivation.
A formal event was organized in this regard in Booni, which was attended by representatives of the Agriculture Department, local administration, political and social figures, and a large number of farmers.
This campaign is being carried out on the directives of the Provincial Minister of Agriculture, Major (R) Sajjad Barakwal, aiming to strengthen the hands of farmers and landowners, and to promote economic development through olive production.
At the end of the event, olive saplings were distributed among the participants.
It was announced that interested persons can obtain olive saplings from the agriculture office in Upper Chitral.
