CHITRAL: A rescue operation was carried out by Rescue 1122 Upper Chitral on Wednesday after a shepherd was injured in a rockfall near Boni glaciers.
According to Rescue 1122, the shepherd was grazing goats when he was hit by a rock, which broke his leg and left him unable to move. Rescue 1122 Upper Chitral received the report and swiftly responded to the emergency.
A medical team from Rescue 1122 trekked for 3.5 hours to reach the location and provided initial medical aid to the injured person. They applied a splint to the broken leg and transported the patient to the THQ Hospital in Booni using a spine board and Rescue 1122\’s ambulance.
