Labourer injured in Chilas accident passes away

YARKHUN: One of the five labourers injured in a road traffic accident in Chilas Gilgit-Baltistan passed away, local residents told ChitralToday.

The body of the labourer was shifted to his native village of Gazen on Sunday. The five labourers were returning home in a jeep from Gilgit city to celebrate Eidul Fitr but they were not allowed to proceed to Chitral via the Shandur road somewhere at Phandar.

The five, including the jeep driver Sher Hussain, were injured and provided treatment at a hospital in Chilas. One of them had sustained a head injury and was in comma and later passed away.

The body was today driven to Yarkhun via Shandur Pass, said the locals.
