SWAT: Six Afghan doctors have been barred from undertaking house jobs at Saidu Sharif Hospital and ordered to vacate their hostel accommodation and leave Pakistan immediately.
Hospital officials said the directives were issued in light of a communication from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
They added that the measures were being implemented in accordance with the prime minister’s instructions.
In a separate development, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department issued a notification terminating the services of 30 doctors posted at various medical facilities across the province.
The doctors were accused of having fake PMDC registrations and securing appointments through illegal means, according to the report.
The actions come amid scrutiny of medical registrations and appointments in the province.
