Chitral, July 6, 2026: Police arrested a suspected drug dealer and recovered more than two kilograms of charas during a targeted anti-narcotics operation in Lower Chitral.
According to a police spokesman, SHO Lotkoh SI Imtiaz Ahmed and his team stopped and searched a suspect identified as Zafar Ahmad, a resident of Mardeen Gabor.
During the search, the police recovered 2.045 kilograms of charas from the suspect’s possession and arrested him on the spot.
A case has been registered at Lotkoh Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
The police said the crackdown against drug traffickers will continue as part of efforts to make Lower Chitral free of narcotics.
