Chitral, May 25, 2026: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor and chief minister on Monday praised the development work of the Aga Khan Foundation and expressed a strong commitment to expanding cooperation in the future.
Aga Khan Concludes Visit with Didar in Garam Chashma
Speaking to the media at Chitral Airport, Faisal Karim Kundi and Sohail Afridi highlighted the foundation’s significant role in the development of remote and underserved areas of the region.
They were present at the airport to receive Prince Rahim Aga Khan. They revealed that detailed discussions were held with him regarding investment opportunities in key sectors such as minerals and natural resources, as well as hospitality and tourism.

The provincial leadership noted that there are numerous areas where the Aga Khan Foundation can collaborate with the government to promote economic growth and development.

They also said that Prince Rahim Aga Khan agreed in principle to establish an Aga Khan University and a hospital in Peshawar.
Praising the foundation’s longstanding contributions, the governor and chief minister emphasized that closer institutional coordination would help reduce underdevelopment and improve living standards in the province’s remote regions.
They assured continued support and a structured partnership framework to strengthen future development initiatives.
