Chitral, May 21, 2026: Lower Chitral police have arrested the main suspects involved in a murder case reported in the Shishi Koh area within 24 hours.
According to the police, the incident occurred in the remote area of Alun Banda Dubaj, Shishi Koh, where a murder case was reported. Acting District Police Officer (DPO) Lower Chitral, Atiqur Rehman, assigned a special task to SDPO Drosh Circle Rehman Yousaf to ensure swift arrest of the culprits.
A police team led by SDPO Yousaf, along with SHO Police Station Drosh Abrar Ahmad and SI Abdul Hadi, carried out a targeted operation. Despite difficult terrain and challenging mountainous routes, the team managed to trace and apprehend the suspects.
The arrested individuals were identified as Mir Azam Khan and Muhammad Noor, sons of Syed Ahmad, residents of Sherati Shishi Koh. Police also recovered the alleged murder weapon during the operation.
The acting DPO praised the professionalism of the police team, stating that the force remains committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens at all costs.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
