Islamabad, May 20, 2026: Pakistan warmly welcomes His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan as he arrives in the country today on a six-day official visit.
The 50th Imam of the Ismailis is scheduled to land at Nur Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi, from where he will proceed to Islamabad for a series of meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other senior government officials.
Upper Chitral Completes Key Arrangements for Aga Khan’s Visit
Authorities have decorated key roads from the airport to Islamabad with welcome banners featuring portraits of Prince Rahim Aga Khan alongside President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, highlighting the importance attached to the visit.
During his stay in the federal capital, the Aga Khan is expected to hold discussions with government authorities on matters of mutual interest and community development initiatives.
He is also scheduled to visit Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral from May 21 to 25, where he will meet community members and participate in various engagements.

Security and logistical arrangements have been tightened across Islamabad and on all expected travel routes to ensure smooth conduct of the visit.
