Garam Chashma, April 24, 2026: The Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) organized a training session in Garam Chashma to enhance preparedness for emergency situations and strengthen local disaster response capacity.
The training aimed to improve rapid response mechanisms at the community level and ensure the protection of human lives during emergencies.
Trained rescue personnel from AKAH participated in the session, where they were briefed on effective response strategies for various natural disasters, including earthquakes, floods, landslides, and other emergency situations.
Practical exercises were also conducted on first aid, safe evacuation of injured persons, and handling challenges during rescue operations.
Expert trainers provided detailed guidance on the use of modern rescue techniques and equipment. Emphasis was placed on teamwork, quick decision-making, and timely response in critical situations.
Local participants appreciated the initiative, terming it a timely and essential step for the region. They noted that such training programs not only help save lives and property but also promote awareness and a sense of responsibility within the community.
