Ibex Hunted Under Trophy Permit in Lotkoh

Chitral, Jan 24, 2026: A legal trophy hunt of an Ibex was carried out in the Lotkoh Arkari area of Chitral by a local permit holder.

The hunt was conducted near Yun, close to Oveer Lasht village, by Sheikh Zeeshan Nasir, a resident of Zargaran Deh, Chitral, who demonstrated professional hunting skills.
The Ibex was approximately 10 years old, with horn measurements recorded at 43.5 inches, making it a remarkable trophy.
Sources confirmed that the hunt was conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Wildlife Department, and all necessary permits and legal requirements were duly fulfilled.

It may be mentioned here that the Wildlife Department of Khyber Pakthunkhwa issues permits to foreigners for the hunting of Markhors in Lower Chitral. Last year, ibex was offered for trophy hunting to locals at a very low fee after which a number of permits for hunting were issued in both Upper and Lower Chitral.
