ISLAMABAD: Foreign educational institutions will soon accept Pakistani intermediate certificates directly, announced Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) Executive Director Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah.
In a recent interview, Dr. Mallah said the IBCC has abolished the long-standing requirement for sealed verification envelopes from examination boards. All 29 national and technical education boards have already adopted an online verification system for FA certificates.
The IBCC will also introduce online verification for madrassa certificates, enabling religious education credentials to be authenticated digitally.
Since 2023, the IBCC has operated as a regulatory authority under the IBCC Act, replacing the former Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen. The commission now regulates foreign educational boards in Pakistan through a new portal.
Under this system, the IBCC evaluates foreign qualifications for equivalence using 15 specific criteria.
