Appointment of sub-registrar urged in Upper Chitral

BOONI: The continuous absence of a sub-registrar in the Upper Chitral district has caused severe legal and administrative difficulties for residents.

According to public circles, people are forced to travel long distances to the district headquarters in Booni for matters like land buying and selling, inheritance transfers, and other registration issues. However, due to the sub-registrar’s absence, they often return empty-handed.

Local residents say this situation not only wastes their valuable time but also adds to their travel and accommodation expenses. Some affected individuals mentioned that their legal matters have been pending for months, negatively impacting their personal and financial lives.

Public representatives and social leaders have urged the district administration and provincial government to appoint a sub-registrar in Upper Chitral as soon as possible. They stated that this step would not only provide relief to the people but also generate significant revenue for the government through registration fees and stamp duties.

The affected citizens warned that if the issue is not resolved immediately, they will be forced to resort to protest.
