CHITRAL: In a major crackdown on narcotics, Chitral police apprehended a drug peddler during an intelligence-based operation.
According to a police spokesman, ASI Wazir Ali Shah and his team conducted an operation and arrested the suspect identified as Syed Ejaz Ali Shah, son of Syed Farhad Ali Shah, originally from Nowshera and currently residing in Bakrabad, Lower Chitral.
During the search, 1,129 grams of charas was recovered from his possession. The suspect has been taken into custody, and a case registered against him. Further investigation is underway to uncover possible links and networks associated with the suspect.
The crackdown against drug peddlers continues under the leadership of SDPO Circle Chitral Sajad Hussain and SHO City Police Station SI Haider Hussain, said the spokesman.
Police officials have reiterated their commitment to continue strict actions against drug peddlers to ensure a drug-free Chitral.
