MASTUJ: The Upper Chitral police said that strong steps have been taken to curb drug peddling.
In this regard, SDPO Mastuj Sher Raja recently chaired a meeting on the direction of District Police Officer Muhammad Atiq Shah.
All SHOs, post in-charges and clerical staff attended the meeting and vowed to put in place a clear and united strategy against drugs and crime.
During the meeting, SDPO Raja said the police will follow a strict zero-tolerance policy against drugs and criminal acts. He warned officers not to show any carelessness and stay alert and ready at all times to keep the area safe.
The officers also talked about the dangers of road accidents, one-wheeling, and over-speeding. They decided to launch effective awareness campaigns to reduce these risks and save lives.
In the end, the SDPO told all officers to stay in close contact with the public and make sure they enforce the law strictly in their areas.
