BOONI: Rescue 1122 Upper Chitral on Sunday said it delivered uninterrupted emergency services during the annual Kaghlasht Festival, ensuring the safety and well-being of players, spectators, and tourists.
“Under the leadership of Emergency Officer Fawad Bukhari and the supervision of Station House Incharge Amjad Hussain, specialized teams were deployed throughout the festival grounds,” it said in a statment.
Medical teams from Rescue 1122 responded to 13 incidents, providing timely first aid on-site and transferring critical patients to hospitals. Their swift and professional response played a vital role in managing emergencies during the large-scale public event.
The Kaghlasht Festival, held every spring in the picturesque highlands of Upper Chitral, draws large crowds from across the region and beyond. Visitors participate in various cultural and sports activities, making effective emergency response a crucial component of the festival’s success.
Deputy Commissioner Haseeb Rehman Khan Khalil and members of the Kaghlasht Festival Committee praised Rescue 1122 for their exemplary services and close coordination with the district administration.
Citizens were asked by the emergency service to call 1122, the toll-free emergency number, in case of an emergency.
