CHITRAL: With no other service providers in the whole area, Telenor has become a headache rather than a facility for people of Laspur Valley of Upper Chitral.
The residents of areas such as Harchin, Raman, Brok, Balim, and Solaspur have been struggling with Telenor’s poor service. Despite numerous complaints and appeals for improvement, no action has been taken, leaving users frustrated and helpless.
Former UC Nazim Qayoom Shah, along with other local leaders, has called on the government and relevant authorities to urgently intervene.
Shah pointed out that the substandard mobile and internet service in Laspur is causing immense hardship for the local population. Even after repeated attempts to bring this issue to Telenor’s attention, the company has failed to take any meaningful steps to improve the service. As a result, consumers are losing valuable packages and enduring mental distress.
He also criticized elected representatives and senior officials for their lack of action, stating that the hardship of the people are being ignored.
Shah stressed the need for Telenor to install quality equipment on all the towers in Laspur to ensure reliable and fast internet service.
