BOONI: The land cruiser service of Northern Areas Transport Corporation (NATCO) has been re-launched between Booni and Gilgit.
NATCO in a statement on social media said that the land cruiser service was earlier available between Mastuj and Gilgit. However, on the request of commuters the service was first launched from Booni in 2022.
Later, there was a halt to the service from Booni, but it was re-launched on Friday.
NATCO said that the land cruiser service on Booni-Gilgit route of 285 km takes about 15 hours to reach its destination.
It said that the people of Lower Chitral were also asking for the extension of the service to Chitral town, which was under consideration of the corporation.
