Woman, son arrested for drug peddling

CHITRAL: A woman and her son were arrested by the Lower Chitral police after recovery of charas from their possession.

The police in a statement said on Monday that a team of police from Ayun police station led by Station House Officer Bulbul Hassan set up a picket at the Chatar bridge. During random checking, the police recovered 1.265 kilogram charas from the two suspects.

They were identified as Amir Sohail, son of Abdullah, and Nasima Bibi, wife of Abdullah, residents of Muldeh, Ayun. 

The police registered a case under the relevant sections of the drugs law against the suspects and put them behind bars.
