Digital literacy program ongoing in 1,177 schools
PESHAWAR: The digital literacy program launched by the education department Khyber Pakthunkhwa continues in 1,177 schools in the province.
In these schools, including 36 in the merged districts, over 128,000 students are being imparted IT education. The program will be extended to other areas of the province to achieve the target of 241,000 students.
These remarks were made by education minister Faisal Khan Tarakai at a function held to distribute awards among students of the IT program from different schools.
The minister said that students from government schools in KP have won many awards at competitions held at the national and international level.
He said the government was working to promote modern education and equip the youth with IT skills to meet the rising demand in the country and abroad.
