Islamabad-based Chitrali social worker passes away

PESHAWAR: Zhanoyar Baig popularly known as Janu from Istach in Upper Chitral passed away here after protracted illness.

Baig was associated with Kay2 TV Islamabad as manager admin for over 40 years.

He was operated upon for gall bladder complications at Lady reading Hospital (LRH) Peshawar a few months ago. However, his condition did not improve after which he was again hospitalized at the hospital in Peshawar a few weeks ago where he passed away last night.

His body was shifted to his home village in Upper Chitral where a large number of people attended his funeral. Baig is survived by his widow, and four children.
