Five siblings fall to death in Balochistan

QUETTA: Five siblings died after falling into a ditch in the Awaran district of Balochistan, the local administration said on Thursday.

The deceased siblings included three girls and two boys aged between six and 12 years. 

Deputy Commissioner Awaran Ayesha Zehri told media that a contractor had dug out a ditch along an under-construction road in Jhao village in which rainwater accumulated. The five children entered the ditch and drowned.

The dead bodies of the children were taken out from the water and shifted to hospital. The provincial government has ordered an inquiry to take action against the responsible persons.
