Sufi poet Dool Mama passes away

CHITRAL: Sufi poet and humorist Abdul Ghani alias Dool Mama of Broze passed away on Saturday at the age of about 91.

He remained hospitalized at Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar for over a month with health complications and breathed his last there. His body will be taken to Chitral and laid to rest at his village on Sunday.

The life of Dool Mama was full of simplicity, love and literary work, including Khowar poetry. Till very recently, he actively took part in literary gatherings and won accolades from his admirers. He was also well known for extempore poetry. May his soul rest in peace.
