Shops sealed for selling Iranian products

DROSH: A number of shops selling Iranian products were sealed in Drosh bazar, promoting protest by shopkeepers and others.

The protest was held against the Consumer Protection Council during which the Chitral-Peshawar road was blocked for over an hour. 

Addressing the protesters, Qari Jamal Nasir and others criticized the government for sealing the shops and warned the council to de-seal them.

The protesters regretted that shops providing products from an Islamic neighbouring country at reasonable rates were being sealed while there was no such ban on Israeli products.

The protesters later dispersed after district administration officials intervened and de-sealed the shops.
