Arrested man killed by rival in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: A man arrested by police was shot dead while being treated in a hospital in Peshawar under police guard on Thursday.

A police officer said that Asfandyar had been arrested in connection with murder and other cases registered against him. As he fell sick, the police took him to Police and Services Hospital for treatment.

While in the hospital, his rival managed to reach Asfandyar and shot him dead in the presence of police guards. Police arrested the attacker along with the weapon on the spot and identified him as Nadeem.
