BOONI: Three persons from Kohistan district who killed a man in Gohkir village of Upper Upper were arrested separately on Sunday.
An official at the Mulkhow police station when contacted told ChitralToday on phone that the main accused had been arrested at Phasti and was being shifted to the police station.
He said the arrested man from Kohistan district was Muhammad Zahid, the son-in-law of Rehmatullah of Bindu Gol, Gohkir. Zahid long with his accomplices murdered Rehmatullah on the night between Dec 29 and 30.
Local people said the main accused and his accomplices were caught by villagers in Brum Oweer and Phasti near Zait and handed over to police.
Two accomplices of Zahid were reportedly caught by local people in a mosque at Oweer whey had stated for a night as travellers and later handed over to the police.
According to locals, Rehmatullah’s daughter was given in marriage to Zahid, but she was not happy and had refused to go back with him and was seeking Khula. As a result, Zahid along with his accomplices reached Gohkir and killed his father-in-law and escaped.
