BOONI: Walks were held in Booni and Mastuj by officials of the district education (male) Upper Chitral, teachers and students in connection with the enrollment drive launched by the education department of Khyber Pakthunkhwa.
The walk in Booni was led by District Education Officer Meftahuddin, Deputy DEO Muqaddas Khan, SDEO Mastuj Sharaf Uddin, ADEO Rahmat Ali, ASDEO Alhaj Muhammad, ASDEO Haroon Rashid, Superintendent Yasir Jillani, ADEO Inayat Ullah , teachers GPS Teklasht and school leader Sadiq Ali.
The students of government primary school Teklasht attended the walk from the school to the Booni bazar.
The enrollment drive and walk in Mastuj was led by the principal higher secondary school Mastuj Muhammad Juma Khan and attended by teachers and students.
It was also participated by the community members.
During the walk, students held placards and banners highlighting the event and importance of education. The students also chanted “Palega Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bhalega Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”.
The children arriving for admission in the government primary school Teklasht today were enrolled. Free textbooks were also distributed among the students in the school.
During the concluding ceremony of the event in Booni, the education department officers stressed the importance of education and development in the country. Education is the basic right and need of every child. No child should remain out of school at any cost, they added.
The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provides free education with the facilities required for the education of the children.
The public should take maximum benefit out of them and educate their children for their better future and development of the country, they also said.
