Attacker on Chitrali boy in Islamabad still at large

ISLAMABAD: No arrest has been made in connection with the armed attack on a Chitrali boy in the rural area of the federal capital on June 15.

The Bhara Kahu police have registered an FIR of the incident but sources told ChitralToday that the family of the attacker had disappeared from the area and their house was found locked.

The boy, identified as Ali Asghar, 20, son of Faraz of Sonoghur village of Upper Chitral, was shot and injured in Bhara Kahu on Wednesday,

In the FIR, copy available with ChitralToday, the complainant Israr Ullah stated that he along with his younger brother Ali Asghar was passing through Hazara Chowk at Dhoke Mohri at about 4pm on June 15, 2022, when Mubashir alias Shaaka appeared there and opened straight fire on my brother from the opposite direction and fled.

He said a bullet hit his brother in the left leg after which he fell down and started bleeding and fell unconscious.

Mr Israr said a few days back his brother Asghar had an altercation with Shaka and in return Shaka tried to kill him. He requested the police to take action and provide justice to him.

The injured was taken to PIMS by Mr Israr and other Chitralis where he was admitted in a serious condition due to profuse bleeding.

The police registered a case under section 324 (attempted murder) of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), but so far no arrest has been made.
