Govt protecting thieves in ruling party: MNA
CHITRAL: MNA Molana Abdul Akber Chitrali said the PTI government has been protecting thieves in the ruling party and in its allies but instituting cases only against the opposition parties.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, the Jamaat-e-Islami MNA came down hard on PTI Chitral leader Abdul Latif for passing contemptuous remarks against Ulema of Chitral, adding this man has no political worth of even a councilor and has already been convicted of cutting green trees illegally and fined over Rs60 million. But is is surprising that the fine amount has been reduced to Rs6.8 million in a questionable manner by the PTI government.
He said the PTI government on the one hand was spending billions of rupees on its plantation programs but on the other it was hesitant to take action against the one who caused damages to green forests.
The MNA said through his efforts Rs300 million have been approved for the blacktopping of the main road from Kalkatak to Chitral town.
About Booni-Buzund Torkhow road, he said Rs120 million had been released earlier and Rs12.9 million would be released soon.
He said work on the Istaru bridge was going on in full swing so that it could be completed before the winter season.–Muhkam Uddin Ayuni
