Young woman missing from husband’s house

MASTUJ: A young woman has been missing from the house of her in-laws in a village of Laspur valley since Sept 20.

Local residents told ChitralToday that the brother and relatives of the woman have filed an application with the police but no case has been registered so far.

They said Razia, daughter of Mir Hawas Khan of Harchin, married Mir Hussain, son of Mir Salim of the same village, about two years ago.

The husband was not present at home when she went missing.

The locals said the mobile phone of the woman was found kept on a stone near the river in the afternoon of Sept 20. 

The father of the woman is not alive and her brother and other relatives suspected that she might have committed suicide but the police were not ready to register a case.

The relatives and other people of the area called upon the deputy commissioner and district police officer of Upper Chitral to direct the local police to register and FIR and help search the missing wonan.
