GARAM CHASHMA: The ambassador of Switzerland to Pakistan Benedict de Cerjat visited different villages in the remote Gobor valley on Saturday.
Frim 2010 to 2017, a number of projects such as water supply network and protection walls were completed under Helvetas inter-cooperation schemes.
The ambassador was briefed about the schemes by Muhammad Amin.
The ambassador met local people and expressed satisfaction over the organization’s work in the remote area.
The local people on the occasion thanked the people of Switzerland and the Swiss organization for their intervention in poverty alleviation in their area.
In a tweet, the ambassador said: “Always gratifying to see that Swiss development cooperation projects have a long term positive impact on local communities. Here a number of protective walls and a water supply system for villages of the Gobor Valley #Chitral🇵🇰 implemented by Intercooperation/#Helvetas.”
