CHITRAL: The district administration on Saturday provided relief cheques worth Rs1.7 million to the heirs of the six family members who died after a gas cylinder blast/fire in their house on Sept 30.
The cheques were handed over to the heirs by tehsildar Saifoor Khan, says a press release issued from the deputy commissioner Chitral office.
Eight members of the family of Shakir Ullah were burnt in the incident in the Muldeh area of Ayun.
All the inured persons were shifted from DHQ hospital Chitral to Peshawar on Oct 3 where six of them died. Two others – Shakir’s wife and his brother – are still in the hospital. The woman is reported to be in a critical condition.
