New tehsil council presents first budget

DROSH: The first ever budget of the newly-created tehsil of Drosh was presented at a session on Thursday. The budget has a total outlay of Rs60.95 million.

The budget session of the tehsil council was chaired by its convener Khan Hidayatullah Khan while Razitu Billah, who played a key role in the creation of the Drosh tehsil, attended the session as an observer.

Presenting the budget, tehsil nazim Molana Ilyas said the budget faced a deficit of 10.28 million.

Speaking at the session, members said the creation of the new tehsil would help in launching more development projects in the area. They said the local government needed more funds for launching public welfare schemes. –Jahan Zeb
