'Making controversy out of non-issue a conspiracy': nazim

The festival features games and sports with special emphasis on the promotion of Chitral’s traditional and popular folk games such as tug of war, wrestling, and shooting etc. The festival was inaugurated by district nazim Maghfirat Shah. The nazim said the festival would be included in the district government’s calendar of events so that it could be patronized at the government level. Referring to the widespread condemnation of a ban on participation of women in the festival as announced by tehsil nazim of Mastuj, Maulana Muhammad Yousuf, a few days ago, Maghfirat Shah said making controversy out of a non-issue was a conspiracy to sabotage the festival.
