Relief goods distributed among 50 families
The relief goods, including food items, blankets and sleeping bags, were distributed among 50 families of the villages. While on going to Torkhow, the army helicopters also airlifted four people, including women and children, from Chitral and dropped them in the far-off village of Shagram. In another operation, an army helicopter flew to Garam Chashma and brought 19 stranded people, including patients, from there to the Chitral town. ]]>
These are all photo ops and nothing more. Instead of wasting fuel on these flights, the money should be distributed among the poor. However, those poor should be properly identified first. In these photo session the focus is only on photo shoots so as to share the same with media and others while the aid going to the deserving recipient is least concern here.
