After promising to make the powerhouse functional in nine months at a reception held in his honour by the people of Booni two years ago, the SRSP chief executive officer (SRSP), Shahzada Masoodul Mulk, disappeared from the scene and failed to keep his words, regret participants of the meeting.They said the people of Booni were perturbed over the alleged embezzlement of the funds provided by the EU allegedly by the SRSP officials and its constructors in the area and demanded a probe into the matter. The participants of the meeting said for over two years the SRSP officials have been befooling the people of Booni over the project. They said the people of the area would hold a protest demonstration against the NGO on Nov 7 at Booni Chowk for dumping the public welfare project.]]>
The people of Buni should start protest against these black mailers who try to politicize every mega project. Sources say that this group has the blessings of MPA Sardar Hussain and collects “Bhata” from contractors. Contractor who pays Bhatta arranges a tour of the under construction site and this group gives a clean chit.
NGOs are doing what government is supposed to do and Chitralis are blessed to have heads of AKF and SRSP who are sons of the soil and are trying their best to develop donors interest in the region. The delays in construction are mainly because of unavailability of construction material (especially explosives) and imports of heavy machinery from China. I believe the contractor wasn’t able to appease this group that’s why they are politicizing NGOs. EU doesn’t even know your names or names of your villages it is the local team of the NGO who manage to get funds for you. Very thankful people and such statements are harmful for development of the local community as NGOs leave the areas in order to escape from these black mailers.
On behalf of the people of Sub Division Mastuj I request the NGO management to ignore these people who don’t represent us and continue their development intervention with out any political pressure.
SRSP was lunched to benefit those who remain deprived of benefits from AKRSP because of religious reasons. Every one has to be well aware of it. If an multinational organization like AKRSP was unable to fulfill the unending demands of upper Chitral, it is impossible for an organization like SRSP to cover the experimental activities of AKRSP. The best way to meet the wishlist of people of booni in particular is to keep close contact with AKDN.
Disgruntled elements are behind this tirade. The MPA should encourage the initiatives of these NGOs instead of creating hurdles just to hide his own failures.

If an organization promised to provide electricity to the people within nine months, and after passage of one and half year could not be able to complete even 50% of the work on the project, then such organization should not bid for the project. Yeh NGOs Khuda na name par awam ki khadmat nehi kar reha hai,
