Did Sabri die alone?

He used his fame not to get wealth, status and luxuries but used it as a source for Muslim’s unity and for spreading true message of Islam. He was a Sunni Muslim himself but he never hesitated to visit Imam Bargah or to recite Noha.  He was the man who proved himself as an ambassador of Suni-Shia Unity and conveyed a message that both can survive together if they accept their differences His whole life is an example of simplicity. Being an internationally known artist, he never felt proud. He had enough money to effort home somewhere else in Karachi but he remained with those people with whom he had spent his childhood in the broken, dusty and muddy streets of Liaqatabad, this show his loyalty and affection for his well-wishers. He never felt shy to visit local CHAI DHABA or THELA . Every single man in his MOHALA was his best friend as we saw their interviews after his demise. This shows how sociable he was. Now let’s talk on those things which were also murdered along with Amjad sabri. Firstly, killing a man like Sabiri is killing of Islamic principles of peace, tolerance, compassion and humility. It is not only assassination of an individual but also assassination of sectarian harmony. This incident is the extermination of Pakistan’s image. This happening portrayed how vulnerable is artist community, in Pakistan.  This event is the massacre of the beautiful Qawali tradition. Most importantly this occurrence is a question mark on our intelligence agencies, Karachi operation and National Action Plan. A man was assassinated and hundreds of things died along with him. Now who is answerable for this massacre? Ahsan Ulhaq Quaid-i-Azam  University Islamabad.]]>
